Ancestral Yapes are extremely social and tribalistic species of Yape, infamous for the curses they disperse to those who set foot on their ancestral land. Traditionally the males soak their fur in blood to intimidate other Yape clans, and from hexes to living effigies, their harmony with their surroundings, agility, and intelligence seldomly leave survivors after encounters. Those that do make it out alive often die within weeks, which is thought to be their curses taking their hold on the trespassers.
