The carnivorous and snake-like Cave Smerlic burrows deep underground through tunnels dug by other creatures and is characterized by its unique tentacle-like body structure that can break apart to allow the limbs to autonomously seek out food while the head waits. While its limbs are incapable of thought and run on instinct, the head goes into a deep sleep while it waits for the parts to return. If the head becomes separated to the area it began resting, the limbs will be unable to find their way back and the head never wakes back up.
