A carnivorous alien insect species that live in colonies that are self-sustaining by bonding with each other for life and methodically, exclusively eating their own children and adults to ensure the overall survival of the group. Lasting hundreds of years, they can survive without any outside source of food available. The males often have a green hue to their outer skin.
