Using its extremely light weight and ability to generate static electricity, the Electric Guleum can create heat to propel itself high into the clouds to remain safe from potential predators. Once airborne, it has yet to be observed eating and it is believed the electricity it funnels through its body sustain it for its lifespan. The males are considerably smaller than the females are but take more effort to create lift.
