The Lockdrake has a specially evolved skull that is one with its jaw, allowing it to completely lock its bite onto its prey. The only way to release its jaw is if it cuts through all the way or the prey is killed. Its mouth has unique receptors that when detecting the electrical fields living beings create, the same kind touchscreens can detect, keep the jaws locked closed. Once the prey is deceased, the jaw no longer senses the current and releases. As infants they are around 30 centimeters tall but can grow as tall is 2 meters.
