A subspecies of Hopple, the Bright Hopples have stubby wings that assist it with gliding while leaping or falling. Excellent climbers, they sit high in the treetop canopies and drop on unsuspecting warm-blooded animals to drink their blood. While their bite is not deadly, it does cause permanent hallucinations in the victim. Found in exotic rainforests, they rarely encounter humans, but when they do, the hallucinations are so severe the person can no longer care for themselves afterwards. The smaller females typically avoid humans and focus on hunting smaller creatures, as their mouths are much smaller and unable to pierce through the human's epidermis layer.
