The Kitako is a ferocious abomination from the very start of its life. It can only consume spinal fluid to survive and needs a constant intake to keep its brain going. That incredible kill rate and dense nutrients in the fluid causes their growth to be enormous, they very quickly rival the size of the largest mountains and eventually become too big to stay on the planet they inhabit. Growing large enough, they possess billions of tentacles that seek out and drain the fluids of all living creatures below. Because of this they are forced to go searching for other inhabitable worlds and are known as planet-killers.
